Although a number of manufacturers, using a number of different operating systems, are now coming up with excellent choices for tablet computers, the main tablet PC comparison for most potential buyers still comes down to the Apple iPad’s iOS and various Google Android tablets. Which of these systems, if either, is the right one for you?

Interface: The experts largely agree that Apple’s iOS works very well as a tablet and smartphone operating system. Things work as you expect them to on the iPad – especially if you’ve previously used an iPhone or iPod Touch. This is what makes the iPad such a great tablet. The interface is probably iOS’s strongest feature.

Apps: The Apple iPad has the largest selection of apps.  There are over 300,000 apps available to buy or download for free from the Apple Store. You can almost guarantee that when companies and individuals create an app, they do it first for the Apple Store and then for the other markets.
